Australian Boarding Schools

Studying in Australian schools is divided into two elementary and secondary schools. In Australia, education is compulsory until the age of 16. In Australia, as in other countries, there are private and public schools. There are also day and night schools in the country. According to Australian law, all schools in this country, regardless of the private or state-owned schools, must be registered with the relevant state education department. Obviously, the government has full supervision of these schools.

Australian schools have many facilities, such as smart beds, equipped libraries, science and computer laboratories, gyms, theater halls and many other facilities. In these schools, the students' talents and personal abilities are very much taken into consideration. The Australian School of International Studies encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities. Some of these activities include learning music, learning a new language, participating in a technology team, or attending a sports team.

Students from the Australian International Schools are fully attentive to being in an English speaking environment to enhance their language level. By this means, they are best prepared to attend university and study in English. Attending Australian boarding schools also provides students with a multicultural environment with diverse cultures. In Australian dormitory schools, students are more focused on their academic development and promotion as well as their personality traits. These students will have the opportunity to find friends from all over the world and for their entire life.

The student's age and the duration of each section are approximately as follows:

  • Preschool and kindergarten in Australia: This is not compulsory for students, and is for students aged 3 to 5 years. Typically, student attendance at this stage varies, but in general, 85% of pre-school year students attend pre-primary school years.
  • Elementary school in Australia: varies from age 6 to 12 to 13 in different provinces.
  • High school in Australia: Usually between the age of 12.13 and the age of 17, the age of attending high school.

It is worthwhile to study at Australian schools up to the age of 16. In Australian boarding schools, the school year begins in late January (early February) and lasts until December (early December).
